BLOG FROM THE BADGER CULL FRONT LINE – SATURDAY 5 SEPTEMBER 2020

A lovely day spent in the woods checking setts far and wide.   So exciting to find well worn badger tracks and almost ‘become’ a badger for a short while.

Fallen, mossy tree trunks worn smooth by fat-tummied badgers climbing up and over.   An elfin forest of moss.

A sett entrance catching the last of the sun’s rays.   Nothing untoward found, thank goodness.

Garden badgers last night left some peanuts for the foxes so if only the badger cull wasn’t happening, it would be such a grand evening.   But, as the sun sinks, so does my heart.
